Jeremy Strong Biography
Jeremy Strong has been publishing books since the 1978 and still has many more stories to tell. To date he has published over one hundred books and shows no sign of stopping yet! Imagine how full his bookshelves must be!
Most of his books are illustrated by
Nick Sharratt, who also illustrates for
Jacqueline Wilson. The series
Cartoon Kid is illustrated by
Steve May, and
My Brother’s Famous Bottom by
Rowan Clifford.
Jeremy Strong has most recently published
The Genius Aged 8 ¼ illustrated by
Jamie Smith, and a new story about Streaker called
The-Hundred-Mile-An-Hour-Dog Master of Disguise illustrated by
Nick Sharratt. Both have been published this year and are available to buy now.
Jeremy Strong Facts
Jeremy Strong was born in South East London in 1949.
He studied English at York University and worked as a primary school teacher and then Head teacher until he left the profession in 1991 to write full-time.
He is leading a ‘Campaign for Fun’ to encourage reading for pleasure, and has a Krazy Club available for fans to join.
He is very accident prone and began his spell of accidents by falling out of a first floor window when he was three. Further accidents including falling out of trees, playing kiss chase and riding a bike at a thousand miles an hour!
