This is the perfect series for tweens: with a protagonist to truly relate to, all the real-life school and friendship drama and a big heap of hilariousness! The books, perfect for readers aged 10+, are all illustrated with black-and-white doodles throughout.
Main character Jessica's misadventures all seem to start when Amelia joins her school. Not only is she mean, she also seems to have stole Jessica's BFF Natalie. There's not much left to do but put her pencil and drawing skills to good use to take her school nemesis down with her unique sense of humour, and maybe even make some new friends along the way.
The books should ideally be read in order to understand how the characters and their relationships with each other develop over the course of the series. We recommend this book for anyone searching for a new book series similar to Lottie Brooks.
