Early chapter book lovers, we have a new dyslexia-friendly series by the amazing Vashti Hardy with colourful illustrations throughout by Agnes Saccani. We love this introduction to reading for little ones.
Part of the wider Little Gems series, these books also help build vocabulary, reading speed and stamina with helpful spacing in between lines and supportive font sizes for those still learning to read. In this particular series, we join the Moonlight Mystery Agency, in which a little girl called Hana and her magical detective cat friend Ace, work together solve strange mysteries of the magical land called Moonlight.
The mysteries are gentle and not at all scary, so little ones can enjoy the excitement of solving a mystery without a worry. They are not meant to be read in order, and are just about a hundred pages each for easy reading in a few bedtimes.
If you're interested in helping a young reader make their next step from picture books, you might also want to read our blog article From Picture Books to Chapter Books.
