For a classic children's picture book series that has stood the test of time, we cannot but recommend The Jolly Postman series, written by Allan Ahlberg and illustrated by Janet Ahlberg. It is packed full of interactive elements to keep the little ones engaged and busy!

In The Jolly Postman, we meet a mail carrier who hops on his bike to deliver letters to familiar characters from traditional fairy tales and stories, and little ones get to open their mail with them and read what's inside! What makes these books so special isn't just the lovely rhyming text, the fun characters the Jolly Postman meets on his run or even the sweet, nostalgic illustrations. It's especially all the novelty elements that children love playing with: the interactive cards and letters children can open and read for themselves.

If you're looking for more trusty series to share with your little one, do also take a look at our blog post on Classic Children's Books for Every Age.
