Billy and the Giant Adventure Series

You may already know of Jamie Oliver for his reputation as a chef and restaurant owner, but did you know he's an author too? This middle grade black-and-white illustrated fantasy adventure is just as good as his food.

There are many things we love about this series. Firstly, it's printed in a large font that is well spaced and very dyslexia-friendly. Secondly, it has black-and-white illustrations throughout, to help better visualise each book. And thirdly, at the end of the books we even get recipes! But the story is great too. We follow Billy and his three best friends as they discover a magical world of sprites, boonas and giants. As the children get to know this new world, they will slowly but surely learn to overcome their fears, as well as connect with nature.

This is a great series to read if you loved Greenwild, fantasy and adventure.
