From the fantastic influencer ThisEsme, in collaboration with children's book talent Jo Cotterill and Hannah George, this is a heartwarming and inclusive series we would recommend to children that love animals aged 8+. Each book follows a different friend, who faces their own set of challenges, and who will be solving a different animal mystery. 

Starlight Stables is a wonderful place: children can learn how to ride horses in return for help with the many tasks that need doing at a stable. Here, beautiful friendships are formed, but there are also many mysteries our sleuths must uncover, from finding missing ponies to so much more. We love the inclusive cast of characters, as well as the representation of friendship in these books.

We also love that Esme Higgs always includes her co-author Jo Cotterill in any interviews, events and meetings about the books, which shows how strong their bond has become through this collaboration.

We think this is a particularly good reading choice for fans of Horse Books , Clare Balding and Jacqueline Wilson.
