The books follow main character Twelve, who over the course of the book becomes Pheonix. She is a Huntling, training in the art of fighting monsters and keeping the peace. But the path she's set on suddenly changes when a little girl goes missing and she decides to look for her with only Dog, the Stone Guardian of the Lodge, by her side. 

Throughout the books she will learn just how courageous she is, by using her elemental powers, defeating monsters and travelling through territories.

This series is perfect for fans of Skandar, Impossible Creatures and Amari And The Night Brothers.
