The Marrow Thieves Trilogy Series

The Marrow Thieves is an incredible, award-winning YA dystopian series by Cherie Dimaline inspired by some of the true horrors that took place as a result of colonialism in the history of humanity. 

In the books, we are facing a reality where humanity has nearly destroyed its world through global warming. And that's not all: most people now have lost the ability to dream. Most people, that is, except the indigenous people of North America, who are hunted down by Recruiters, harvested and deprived of their bone marrow, used to create a serum to treat those who cannot dream. So we meet Frenchie, whose parents have succumbed to Recruiters, and who must find a way to survive in this world of danger, together with a group of companions making their way up north to the old lands, to safety. 

This is the perfect dystopian survival story that draws on historical events, great for fans of Stranger Things.
