Frankie's World Series

This two-colour graphic novel series feels like a big, warm super bear hug! It sweetly sums up the feeling of not quite feeling like we fit in, while introducing readers to autism and neurodiversity. This is a great series for readers aged 9+.

The books follow the adventures of two neurodivergent best friends: Frankie and Sam. We see how they navigate their young lives, which many young readers will relate to, from starting secondary schools and meeting a whole new set of rules, to wanting to learn more about themselves and finding their own voice. The books tug at the hearstrings while making you laugh and are a true joy to read and share.

Each book is written and illustrated by Aoife Dooley, who is also autistic, and packed full of graphic novel illustrations in full colour.

All the Frankie's World books in order:

Book 1: Frankie's World (2022)
Book 2: Finding My Voice (2023)
