Aveline Jones is the brilliant main character who loves ghost stories and old books. She also seems to be met with a new mystery to solve wherever she goes. And in the first book of the series, she sets to find out why the owner of a strange old book, who was only a young girl at the time, vanished into thin air. And each book in the series has a new case for Aveline to solve.

An aspect we especially love about this series is the friendship between Aveline and Harold, her trusty partner for all things enigma-solving, who she can always count on for help. 

The books are brimming with secrets from the past, magical forces, supernatural activity and LOTS of sneaking around! If there's one thing we can promise new Aveline Jones readers, it's that the books never get boring...

This is a great reading option for anyone aged 8+ who loves fast-paced reads and not-too-scary mysteries. The publisher says fans of A Widdershins Adventure books, The Last Wild Trilogy and the Frostheart books will love this series by the author of the Shadowhall Academy books too.
