A blood-chilling YA thriller for fans of One of Us Is Lying, Pretty Little Liars, We Were Liars, and The Hunger Games. At STAGS, dark lies, secret societies and terrifying games take place. No one is safe. 

Across 5 books, a terrifying story unravels, with St Aidan the Great boarding school, known to its privileged pupils as S.T.A.G.S., at its core. Greer MacDonald is a new student, still struggling to fit in. Surprisingly, she receives an invite the the most popular student's home, but soon realises she's only a pawn in a bloody, dark and twisted game, in which she and other nine students will be hunted. And the series only gets darker and darker, with strange plays, ghosts from the past, overseas hunts and so much more.

Throughout the books, M. A. Bennett explores bullying, toxic masculinity and abuse of power, encouraging readers to think differently, and challenge what they've been told.

The books in this series examine and expose the truth of privilege, its subtleties and the many ways it ramifies, regardless of the lives it tramples along its way. Readers are already BEGGING for a next series set in a world where the characters are university students, but for now we will have to enjoy the five fast-paced books that make for a thrilling series.

S.T.A.G.S., was published in 2017 and was shortlisted for the YA BOOK PRIZE 2018, won the Warwickshire Secondary Book Award 2019 and Gold in the Sussex Coast Schools Amazing Book Award 2019, both voted by students, and won the Great Reads 'Most Read' 2018 Senior Award. D.O.G.S., the second in the world of STAGS, followed in 2019.

This gripping series is not for the faint of heart, so if you're after something a little lighter, M. A. Bennett has also written a younger mystery series for readers aged 10 and up, called The Butterfly Club series, featuring a group of characters solving mysteries from the past.
