We recommend this series to all readers aged 6+ who love MAGIC! With funny black-and-white illustrations throughout, this funny chapter book series is perfect for both bedtime reading with your little one or  independent reading. 

The series centres around a boy, Fred, who is training to become a wizard. The only thing is... he is not very good at wizarding at all. In fact, he is quite terrible at it. The series follows his many mishaps, which are so funny, but also his struggles, will are very relatable to all children. 

This is perfect for all readers of Funny Books for Children, plus we are big fans of Sheena Dempsey, who has also illustrated the much-loved Dave Pigeon series!
