In this brilliant historical middle-grade series set in Tudor England, we get a sneak peek into King Henry VIII's royal court as a young spy master apprentice lends his mystery-solving skills to all sorts of cases that need cracking...
Meet Jack Briars, a young apprentice to the one and only spy master Thomas Cromwell. While the job starts out with very typical, boring clerk work to support Cromwell, things quickly get interesting for Jack, and his tasks soon become more than what he bargained for: the king is in constant danger and only Jack can help him. Throughout the books we see Jack (and some few select friends) in action, cracking codes, avoiding deadly plots, hopping aboard ships and more. There is never a dull moment when you work for the king.
