In each book, a young boy named Al, who is working on his biggest experiment: a sophisticated time machine. He will have to figure out how to make it survive a splash down, how to blast it off, and even how it affects his own body! All while trying to avoid making a mess... 

Spoiler: he doesn't! These books are very messy.
