The 5th Wave series, by American author Rick Yancey, is a thrilling YA science fiction trilogy, perfect for fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Maze Runner.

The first book, The 5th Wave, was adapted into a film starring Chloe Grace Moretz in 2016, bringing the stories to an even wider audience. There was no sequel to the 5th Wave film, but the book series continues the adventures.

The books tell the story of 16 year old Cassie - a girl on the run, trying to survive in a world devastated by an alien apocalypse. As the 5th wave of alien invasions dawns, one thing is clear - she can trust nobody. As one of Earth’s last survivors, Cassie is determined to stay alone, until she meets Evan, who just might be her only hope…

The 5th Wave books need to be read in order and are suited to readers 12+.
