Young friends are caught on the camera of a movie company filming London's historical landmarks. They enter a fantasy world of bizarre characters, wily animals, and evil General Nitti-Gritti, from an ancient eastern dynasty, intent on conquering Britain. Plautius, a Roman General, arrives in Regent's Park Zoo to retrieve the treasure he buried on the site during the Roman occupation of Britain, and a party of schoolchildren visiting the zoo are caught up in the 'Monkeys Tea Party' campaign for 'Animal Rights' and they become the species on view in the monkeys' cages.
