Oliver Jeffers Biography
Oliver Jeffers is a Northern Irish illustrator and writer whose hand writing itself is as distinctive as his style: encompassing childhood creativity and imagination. Oliver’s works seem to emerge straight out of a lost part of us, one we see in our children and want to nurture. From his quirky illustrative work such as Imaginary Fred, to his abstract books with a fairy-tale feel (The Heart and the Bottle and The Great Paper Caper etc.), a child would be thrilled with the chance to enter the mind of such a brilliant creator!

Oliver is originally from Northern Ireland but now lives and works in Brooklyn. He has won many awards including the Irish Book Award's Children's Book of the Year for his picture book The Incredible Book Eating Boy (2007). He has made it onto the New York Times Bestseller List, and his art has been exhibited around the world.

His up-and-coming picture book, Here we are, is dedicated to his son.
