Maths in a Box is a maths resource created by three well-known maths educators and authors in the primary market. The resource consists of a series of hands-on maths activity-card kits graded according to stages or levels of the maths syllabuses. The cards span topics that cover the key learning areas in the Primary syllabuses. They offer ready-made lessons that incorporate reading of non-fiction text, discussion, problem solving, maths activities and games. Worksheet blackline masters and teacher notes are included to help teachers use this resource in the classroom. Teachers will have the flexibility to incorporate this resource into their regular maths classrooms along with whatever maths course they are using. It is ideal for small groups and pair work and it empowers students to read independently and to think mathematically.
