A drawing competition took place in Waterstones Croydon this year for children to design a super hero who would be the star of a new book. Many great drawings were handed in. The winner was Faisaan who designed the fantastic, Captain Croydon. Faisaan's creation is now the star of this book, sponsored by Waterstones Croydon who are generously donating GBP1 from each book sold to the Children's Reading Fund charity. Waterstones wish to express a big thank you to all the children who took part, another big thank you to Lizzie Wallace author and illustrator of the book and to publisher Lionel Ross of i2i Publishing.
