With no college degree or scientific experience, Jane was just 26 when she set up camp (with her mum) at Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania and began her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees. Within a few years, not only had she made exceptional discoveries about chimp behaviour, she had also revolutionised the way naturalists carried our their research. Jane immersed herself in the lives of wild chimpanzees, naming them all and noting their distinct personalties, instead of just assigning them numbers. Over time, we see her evolve into an activist, championing the many endangered animals as well as the people who live alongside them.
Kids will love this hilarious fairy tale adventure packed with clever twists, familiar characters and page-turning fun.
