Young friends are caught on the camera of a movie company filming London's historical landmarks. They enter a fantasy world of bizarre characters, wily animals, and evil General Nitti-Gritti, from an ancient eastern dynasty, intent on conquering Britain. An unusual species of rose entered in a national flower show turns out to be the military symbol of General Nitti-Gritti and there begins a 'War of the Roses' alongside the historical war that is being filmed by the movie company.
