When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert want to hire an orphaned boy to help on their farm at Green Gables, they get Anne – a red-haired, freckle-faced and incredibly feisty girl.
Although Anne sometimes likes to imagine that her hair is brown and that her name is Cordelia, she can’t quite picture having to be a boy full time!
