As the creator of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Judith Kerr was and continues to be one of the most beloved authors in children's literature, her career spanning over five decades, her legacy still inspiring generations of young children who read her books to this day. Her books explore themes of magic, family, friendship and love, spanning from fun stories to more serious tones of historical events Judith lived through herself.
Judith survived World War II, she helped wounded soldiers via the Red Cross and she later dedicated her life to art, working from the same small desk in her London home for the entire rest of her life. She was awarded an OBE in 2012 for services to children's literature and Holocaust education.
While many of us know and love her for the iconic Mog series and The Tiger Who Came To Tea, this year we're excited to see her beloved classics reaching even younger readers in beautiful new editions. While she passed away in 2019, her books continue to delight readers young and old, and we have some fantastic new editions to share with you from board books for the very youngest to picture books.
